Theograd 350mg tablet is produced by Abbott, which contains theophylline. Theophylline is a bronchodilator, which opens air passes in the lungs and helps in breathing. It is the best medicine for asthma and bronchitis. Primarily indication includes severe asthma, obstructive airway disease, apnoea of prematurity, breath problem, etc. It prevents bronchospasm due to asthma and chronic obstructive airway diseases. (Theophylline) improves symptoms of Asthma.
Indications
Theophylline is being used for the indication and treatment in conditions like asthma, obstructive airway disease, Cheyne strokes respiration and also being given to patients who have severe lower respiratory tract infection.
Side effects
Theophylline can affect seizures, headache, irritability, cardiac arrhythmias, nausea, vomiting, headache, nervousness, anxiety, etc. The signs after overdose of theophylline include hyptension, hypokalemia, nausea and vomiting.
Precautions
Theophylline should not be used as first drug of choice in the treatment of asthma in children
Theograd in Pregnancy and Breast Feeding
Theophylline should not be administrated during pregnancy. Theophylline is excreted in breast milk; therefore it should not be used in lactation.
