Hydrozole 20g Cream for Yeast and Fungal Infection

Hydrozole 20g cream is manufactured by GSK and marketing by Stiefel. It contains hydrocortisone + Clotrimazole. It is broad-spectrum anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory cream and is used for sensitive, inflamed fungal skin condition. Hydrozole is indicated for dermatophyte and yeast infection like fungal infected dermatitis, interttigo, and candida nappy rash. It is the best antifungal cream for yeast and fungal infection.

Compositions

Clotrimazole: Clotrimazole is being introduced in the 1980s. It is a broad-spectrum fungicidal drug. It is most valuable for the treatment of superficial fungal infection, which is caused by dermatophytes, yeasts. It has played a vital role in the systemic therapy of fungal disease. It is being used in breast or prostate cancer, leishmaniasis, tinea corporis, vaginitis, yeast infection, and also being used alternative therapy in dermatophytic infections.

Hydrocortison: It is best topical anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive action or as a hormone replaced therapy. Hydrocortison is used to reduce swelling and inflammation. It is being used in a variety of disorders such as allergic conditions, apthous ulcer, collagen disease, contact allergic dermatitis, infantile eczema, inflammation, itching, joint inflammation, soft tissue inflammation, insect bites, otitis, sunbur, externa and ulcerative colitis, etc.

Side Effects

Side effects of Clotrimazole include nausea, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, vomiting, burning, depression, polyuria, skin irritation, chemical cystitis, urethral irritation, contact dermatitis, GI irritation, vision disturbance, etc.

Side effects of hydrocortisone include convulsions,Gi bleeding, striae, glaucoma, cataract, osteoporosis, growth retardation, epidermal thinning, insomnia, irritation, mood swings, dryness, stinging, itching, weight gain, acne and cushingoid, etc

Precautions

Patients with a known history of hypersensitivity to hydrocortisone and clotrimazole should not use Hydrozole cream. Consult your doctor, if you have a primary cutaneous viral infection.

Pregnancy and Lactation

It should only be considered if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the foetus. Do not apply the cream to the breasts to avoid accidental ingestion by the infant.
