ARINAC is produced by Abbott and this series contains ARINAC Syrup, ARINAC TAB, and ARINAC Forte. ARINAC is being given for the symptomatic relief of Flu, Fever, Cold, Nasal Congestion, blocked nose, Sinusitis, and Headache. Compositions
Ibuprofen: Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory agent. Ibuprofen is being used for the indication and treatment of pain, juvenile chronic arthritis, migraine, fever, musculoskeletal, toothache, arthritis, and inflammation. It contains anti-inflammatory properties, which reduce swelling within a few minutes.
Pseudoephedrine: It is a sympathomimetic agent related to ephedrine. It is being used in cough and cold preparations, which includes nasal and sinus congestion. It is being used for the indication and treatment of upper respiratory tract infection (URTI), nasal congestion, rhinitis, bronchitis, influenza, sneezing, and seasonal allergy, etc.
Side Effects
Site Effects of Ibuprofen: Some common and adverse effects of Ibuprofen include thrombocytopenia, vomiting, hematemesis, peptic ulceration, headache, GI bleeding, renal failure, dizziness, diarrhea, blurred vision, constipation, depression, elevated blood pressure, and hearing loss, etc.
Side Effects of Pseudoephedrine: Side effects of Pseudoephedrine include drowsiness, anorexia, anxiety, dry mouth, tremor, insomnia, sleep disturbance, and headache, etc. The overdosage of Pseudoephedrine includes excitation, tachycardia, restlessness, and hallucinations, etc.
High-Risk Groups: Arinac should be given to hypertensive patients, cardiac patients, neonates, geriatrics, and patients suffering from kidney dysfunction.
Pregnancy and lactation
Arinac should not be given to pregnant and lactation mothers.
